Our Engineering Division are looking for a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our team.
Location: Dublin / Cork / Castlebar / Limerick
Salary: Negotiable
Position: Permanent, Full-Time
Produce a large assortment of technical documents including Desk Studies, ground investigation reports (GIRs), geotechnical design reports (GDRs), specifications.
Produce 2D geotechnical models and drawings using geotechnical design software for routine design problems (slope stability, retaining wall design, settlement/movement impact assessment etc.) and drawings.
Carry out site inspections/supervision to confirm compliance with the Specification for the works.
Undertake design calculations and reporting independently with a strong focus on delivery dates and budget awareness.
Participate in client and internal meetings as part of design team.
Designing ground investigation campaigns and procurement documentation and drawings;
Supervising ground investigations in the field and other geotechnical related aspects of construction. Scheduling laboratory tests on collected samples and reviewing results/borehole logs.
Actively involved with graduates to explain routine geotechnical design problems/standards
