· Coordinate Routine maintenance activities and additional works requested by the company contractors assigned to different services on company facilities.
· Coordinate the purchasing activities with regards to routine maintenance and additional works from the company contractors.
· Manage a team of maintenance personnel and organize the appropriate works for all planned or unplanned maintenance works, repairs, improvements and upgrading.
· Review agreements with relevant parties to enable the company to perform its obligations under the O&M contract.
· Manage work permit process with health and safety department.
· Develop, review, and update the maintenance manuals related to the road routine maintenance works.
· Responsible for the generation and reporting of the monthly maintenance report and the annual bridge inspection report.
· Ensuring relevant procedures, directives and other requirements of the quality management system are compiled/followed and reported to management.
· Manage the asset register.
· Manage the planning and updating of maintenance schedules and budgets for all assets and ensuring sub-contractor compliance.
· Routine inspection of the road assets, toll plaza and weighbridge assets to ensure the levels of service are met and Measuring & Reporting on the defects observed.
· Conducting monthly joint inspections with the contract employer.
· Identifying and updating where necessary the risk register for the Road, Toll Plaza & Weighbridge maintenance.
· Inspecting and ensuring all staff within the maintenance department and subcontractors abide and adhere to the Health and Safety Practices and Traffic Management guidelines.
· Control all Road, Toll Plaza & Weighbridge maintenance activities through an asset management system. Ensuring its updated and data necessary appropriately captured and reporting through the system.
· Reacting to resolving complex problem that do not have routine solutions.
· Ensure regular internal and external communication including the cascading of information and promoting a culture of openness in the team.
· Ensure that all procedures and processes are undertaken in accordance with compliance of company standards.
· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the way the service is delivered.
· Ensure that direct reports and their teams understand their accountabilities/targets and regularly monitor progress and manage performance.
· Visible leadership to motivate the team to achieve targets and optimize their performance and contribution.
. 5 years’ working experience in the delivery of a highway’s maintenance operations or similar transferable experience.
. A degree in engineering preferably in civil engineering- with experience in maintenance of facilities.
. Certification or post graduate diploma in project management is an added advantage.
. Team leadership and management experience driving performance and productivity.
. Excellent communication skills, customer focus and service delivery mindset.
