Job description

Capable of providing assistance to Associate Director / Director in management of structural engineering team
Capable of Independent management of projects taking financial responsibility for the projects
Able to lead and mentor team assigned, reporting to the Associate Director
Able to lead, mentor and coach design engineers
 
Motivate the teams to work without  conflicts.
Encourage people to work with good team spirit.
MONITOR resource consumption.
Capable of providing support to Business development including assisting in preparation of bids and proposals
Capable of managing and developing own Client portfolio
Capable of preparation of fee quotations and Invoicing
 
 
Able to provide assistance to Commercial team in proposal writing, marketing and business development for structural work as required
Profitability on projects, achieving targeted budgets

Profile

 
BEng / MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering
Chartered Engineer - CEng, MIStructE / MICE
Highly experienced professional with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking
Demonstrate a proven track record in design delivery with specific experience of; steel, reinforced concrete and masonry designs from concept to detailed delivery, foundation design and structural analysis including construction delivery.
Should demonstrate professionalism and integrity in the work environment and be capable of building good relationships with colleagues, understands the importance of confidentiality
Extensive post education experience
Good presentation skills and bid writing skills
Knowledge of BIM processes and implementation
Experience of Common Data Environment platforms such as BIM360, Viewpoint or Aconex
Experience in parametric design tools for automation such as Dynamo / Grasshopper or Python is desirable
Strong understanding of structural analysis programs such as ETABS, SAP, SAFE and BIM (e.g., Revit and Tekla).
