The primary purpose of this role is to drive digital transformation initiatives, lead Maintenance, Incident and Response (MIR) digital engineering activities and assume overall ownership of project information and ensure the project digital strategy remains asset centric. Reporting to the Asset Integration Director, you will work together to successfully deliver the Torrens to Darlington Project (T2D).

 

What is T2D?

T2D is the most significant infrastructure project ever undertaken in South Australia. This Project will complete the North-South Corridor, providing 78km of non-stop motorway between Gawler and Old Noarlunga to be delivered by the Australian and South Australian governments. What is Egis’ role in T2D?

Egis’s involvement in the first phase of the project will be primarily in design review, digital engineering architecture, whole of life consideration of project design and construction which flows into operations and maintenance activities during construction phase. In the later phase of the project (5 years and beyond), we will still act under alliance with the client as the ultimate asset owner. In recognition of this, our impact will be in MIR during operational phase of motorway, asset management responsibilities, whole of life analysis and digital engineering stewardship.

What is the current situation?

Egis is part of the ConnecT2D Alliance (together with Cimic Group, Acciona, Arup and Aurecon), we have submitted a tender in April 2024. We are currently in the post-tender clarification phase and expect to learn the outcome of the tender in July 2024. We are confident about our chances to be awarded the contract for this landmark project. We are in a strong position to win this contract and as such, have commenced recruitment for priority one roles.

 

Key duties/responsibilities

• MIR Digital Engineering Leadership - Lead the transition of the Asset from delivery to operation, ensuring maintenance and incident response requirements are embedded into the digital design modelling that underpins all phases of the Project. Overall ownership of project information and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

• Digital Engineering, Oversight and Compliance - Overseeing project Digital Engineering (DE) teams and responsibilities, initiating, and implementing the Digital Engineering Execution Plan (DEXP).

• Systems Engineering and Assurance - Drive MIR-led systems engineering and assurance to deliver a compliant, efficient, and high-performing operational asset.

• Project Meetings and Workshops - Facilitate project leadership meetings and conduct workshops for DE implementation and adoption. Lead DE kick-off and review meetings to ensure project alignment and progress.

• Cyber Security Strategy and Resilience - Develop and implement adequate cyber security strategies and resilience plans to safeguard project assets.

• People Management - Lead and develop an effective and high-performing team to meet client & project requirements.

• Integration and Optimisation -High-level stakeholder interface management to integrate the design, construction and Maintenance and Response (MIR) teams and digital teams to deliver a whole-of-life digital asset management approach.

Profil

  • Extensive experience with major high-profile O&M and engineering/advisory projects within the ANZ region.
  • Extensive experience in cyber security strategy and digital engineering
